On August 31, 2020 the members of Hazlet Township Police Department joined together with our law enforcement leaders and partners to honor Chief Philip Meehan who is retiring. Chief Meehan has spent over 30 years serving his country and community.

Cased Closed Thanks to Assistance From Public
On July 18, 2020, a citizen reported being inappropriately touched on the buttocks by an unknown male at the Hazlet Shoprite. After a day or so of attempting to identify the subject via surveillance footage, we posted the still images of the suspect on our Facebook page asking for assistance from our community. Scam presentation to Senior Citizens in the community
This month, Detective’s Nicolas Logothetis, Michael Tristao and Detective Lieutenant Robert Mulligan gave a presentation to approximately 200 of our Township seniors on scams that specifically target and take advantage of their demographic.
