The Hazlet Township Police Department Traffics Safety Unit is comprised of Ptl. Centrone.
The Traffic Safety unit is responsible for :
- Supervision, training and maintenance of traffic related equipment including RADAR and E Ticket
- Collect Traffic Data on various streets
- Create traffic studies to improve the safe passage of motor vehicles and pedestrians throughout the township
- Organize Traffic plans for new business and for large public events
- Monitor and manage fleet vehicles and assist with acquisition of new vehicles and equipment
- Screen road construction details for proper posted detour routes
- Apply for Traffic related grants and schedule details
