The Police Department recognizes the importance of providing the public prompt and accurate information, particularly during emergencies.
It is also the policy of the department to cooperate fully and impartially with authorized news media representatives in their efforts to gather factual, public information pertaining to the activities of the department, as long as these activities do not unduly interfere with department operations, infringe upon individual rights or violate the law.
