Due to the Covid-19 response and recovery efforts at the State level, please be advised that the processing of new firearm applications will be significantly delayed.
It is important to note that initial applications will be indefinitely delayed due to the closure of the contracted fingerprint sites. This portion of the background process will continue as soon as nonessential businesses are allowed to reopen.
Hazlet Township Police Department is currently processing as many applications as we can during this public health emergency, however, the issuance of completed permits will be suspended due to the temporary reduction of our records personnel . When feasible, we will continue our normal operation and you will be called to pick the permit up.
