The Hazlet Township Police has a motorcycle unit which offers greater mobility. Using the motorcycle can assist officers in better response times during high traffic conditions by being able to weave in and out of traffic.
The motorcycles are also participate in parades and are traffic escorts for special events or funerals. Each officer who utilizes the motorcycle must pass a rigorous motor cycle training program held by Harley-Davidson and Northwestern University Center for Public Safety.
